Bhairvee Shavdia Selected for Aspen Institute’s Job Quality Fellowship
The Job Quality Fellowship aims to support and strengthen the work of leaders dedicated to expanding access to and availability of better quality jobs in our economy.
San Diego, CA (October 04, 2018) – HCAP Partners, a California-based mezzanine debt and private equity firm and recognized impact investor, announced that Impact Associate Bhairvee Shavdia has been selected for Aspen Institute’s Job Quality Fellowship. Hosted within Aspen Institute’s Economic Opportunities Program (EOP) and supported by Prudential Financial and Ford Foundation, the 2018-19 Fellowship includes seventeen leading innovators working to advance job quality in the United States.
The Job Quality Fellowship Program is a part of EOP’s long-standing efforts to expand opportunities for people to connect to quality work, build assets, attain economic stability, and pursue their American Dream. This year’s fellows are thought and action leaders from innovative businesses, investors, governments, and nonprofits from around the country that are taking on this challenge with diverse sets of approaches and solutions.
“The changing economy means we need to work together to design a world of work that offers opportunities for prosperity and security for all working people,” said Maureen Conway, executive director of the Economic Opportunities Program. “We’re excited to be working with these extraordinary leaders and to see what they can learn from one another and accomplish by working together.”
“It’s an honor to be in the company of this esteemed group of innovators,” commented Bhairvee Shavdia. “I look forward to the ongoing dialog and the development of a new narrative around job quality that supports long-term, sustainable improvements.”
